This was addressed to his first wife, Ellen Axson Wilson, in care of her maternal uncle. Ellen died in 1914 while Wilson was serving as President. She grew up in Rome, Georgia. The two actually met in Rome when Woodrow was visiting his cousin in 1883. Ellen’s remains were buried in a family plot in Rome.
Encapsulated and further authenticated by PSA/DNA. The envelope measures 5.875" x 3.375" and the slab measures 9.5" x 4.625."
