28th President. Typed letter signed “Woodrow Wilson” AS PRESIDENT, October 14, 1915, The White House, Washington stationery, to Mrs. Henry Wills Alden in New York City, in full:

It was very gracious and sweet of you to think of me in my happiness and I thank you with all my heart for your gracious letter of October eleventh.

Please present my warmest regards to Mr. Alden. I wish I might sometime have the pleasure of an old-fashioned talk with him and with you.

Accompanied by an additional Letter of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication / JSA.

Woodrow Wilson married Ellen Axson in June 1885. After Ellen's death in 1914, he became engaged to Edith Bolling Galt in September 1915, and they married in December of the same year. Wilson is certainly responding to a message of congratulations on his engagement here.

Henry Mills Alden was an American author and editor of Harper’s Magazine for 50 years - from 1869 to 1919.
