1898 Philadelphia Peace Jubilee 18k Gold Medallion - The Actual Medal Presented To and Owned By President McKinley

Sale Price: $5,250.00 Original Price: $5,750.00

25th President. Impressive gold medallion on a red, white and blue ribbon from the 1898 Philadelphia Peace Jubilee. The verso is engraved:

Hon. William McKinley

October 27th, 1898

The 1898 Philadelphia Peace Jubilee was a massive three‑day celebration marking the end of the Spanish‑American War, held October 25–27, 1898. President William McKinley personally attended where he reviewed troops, attended parades, and gave speeches emphasizing national unity and America’s new role as a global power.

The quality of this item is truly special. Based on research, this was actually presented to McKinley himself, based on the engraving on verso and the overall quality of the piece as well as familial research. We also had it examined by a professional jeweler who stated that it contains approximately 27-28 grams of 18k gold including the connector piece and the hanger as well as a small diamond at bottom. As of the beginning of January 2026, the gold value alone is nearly $3,000.

We cannot locate another piece like it anywhere except some similar souvenir pieces with major variances. We believe this originally descended from Ida McKinley herself and passed through the McKinley family.
