Former President Theodore Roosevelt's 1910 tour was an unofficial victory trip through Europe that followed his East African Smithsonian safari. He famously offered his “Man In The Arena” speech in Paris on April 23 and finally offered his Nobel Peace Prize speech on May 5 in Oslo. He began his multi-day visit to Germany on May 10, with the next day being of historical note because TR joined Kaiser Wilhelm II, on horseback, to observe a massive Imperial German military review at the field of Doberitz.
