Publisher's gray cloth, spine stamped in black and white, front board blindstamped with an outline of the White House; original dust jacket; slipcase. FIRST EDITION. INSCRIBED BY FORD on the title page with a portion of his inauguration speech:

I have not campaigned either for the Presidency or the Vice Presidency. I am indebted to no man and only to one woman, my dear wife as I begin this very difficult job. My fellow Americans, Our long national nightmare is over. Our constitution works.
