MacArthur sends this letter from San Antonio, where he was participating in exercises with the Maneuver Division, in part:
After practice marches and at other times when the officers shower bath is in demand, officers are requested to undress and dress in their own tents so as to avoid holding the shower an unnecessarily long time. By order of Captain Lukesh.

This is the only letter we can locate sent by MacArthur while in San Antonio. MacArthur was promoted to captain in February 1911 and was appointed as head of the Military Engineering Department and the Field Engineer School, which led him to the Maneuver Division in Texas.
