28th President. Typed letter signed “Woodrow Wilson” AS PRESIDENT, one page on White House stationery, 7x7, Washington, February 9, 1921. Writing less than a month before the end of his term as president, Wilson writes:

... I know of no one I have met whose good opinion I value more than I value yours. I wish there might be someone to write discerningly and with knowledge of your own actions and influence at the Peace Conference, which were wholly admirable."

Matted and framed with a photograph of Wilson and an informational plaque to an overall size of 21x16.

The bottom of the letter has been trimmed off, so we are not able to identify the recipient. Writing at the near end of his term in office, Wilson makes mention of the Paris Peace Conference, which continued to weigh heavily on him. Wilson had to compromise on many aspects of his vision in order to reach an agreement with the other Allied leaders.

Unexamined out of frame but appears quite clean, save for a few light spots of foxing. Due to the dimensions, it is evident that it has been trimmed at bottom.
