It was fine to see you the other day and I am delighted to have your thoughtful letter of January twelfth. V.M.I. has a history and traditions which make it worthy of loyal support by all who have at heart the welfare of youth and it is a satisfaction to know that the PWA projects were of such help.

Mailing fold, light wrinkling, verso with remnants of mounting causing paper to harden slightly.

One of the most celebrated Marines of all time, Lejeune became superintendent of the Virginia Military Institute after his retirement from the US Marine Corps.
