Autograph letter signed “Ed Becquerel”, Paris, August 1, 1878, 5.25x8, black-bordered stationery. Letter by the French physicist Edmond Becquerel (1820–1891) addressed to “Monsieur Maindron”, Becquerel writes that on Monday he had passed to ‘M. Bertrand’ his paper on meterological observations for 1878 so that it could be included in the memoirs of the academy (i.e. the Académie des sciences). He asks that the proofs by sent to ‘la Jacqueminière près Courtenay Loiret’ where Becquerel is about to stay for several months.
