3x5 Annual Pass for Eastern Airlines signed EV Rickenbacker at bottom right. The document is an annual pass for customers of Eastern Air Lines. It specifies that “Charles Froesch Chief Engineer” is provided with complimentary “positive class” transportation aboard Eastern Air Lines for the whole year “unless otherwise ordered”.

Eastern Air Lines operated from 1926-1991, best known for its near-monopoly over travel from New York to Florida from the 1930s through the 1950s. Eddie Rickenbacker bought Eastern Air Lines from General Motors in 1938 for $3.5 million (over $70 million today), and quickly made it into the most profitable airlines. However, he was forced out as CEO in 1959 over his refusal to invest to acquire jets for the airline.
