22nd and 24th President.  Partly-printed vellum document signed (DS) “Grover Cleveland” AS PRESIDENT, 15.5×19, July 12, 1886. President Cleveland appoints Robert C. Williams as “Second Lieutenant in the Fifteenth Regiment of Infantry in the service of the United States.” Signed at the conclusion by President Cleveland and countersigned by Secretary of War William C. Endicott. The crisply embossed seal affixed to the lower left remains intact at the bottom left.

In fine condition, with intersecting folds and waviness to vellum.  Attractive format with a wonderful autograph.
