** Truly special, early Bill Clinton autographed collectible **

42nd President.

Hardcover yearbook entitled “Old Gold Book 1964” being the yearbook for Hot Springs (Arkansas) High School. The book originally belonged to a classmate named Jim McDougal, with his ownership signed “Jim McDougal” on first page (he is mentioned on page 84 of Clinton’s autobiography My Life). As expected, the book is signed by a large number of his classmates, including his good friend Bill Clinton. The future President has penned:

You have really inspired me. I guess I’ll never be as smart as you, but I sure have enjoyed trying (and failing) to knock you off in math. I want to say something that your behavior has shown you already know – there are many brilliant people in this world, but few smart enough to use their brains to make a good life – you’ve already done that – God Bless You (+ Help MIT)

Bill Clinton

The “Index of Students and Faculty” shows Clinton pictured on 18 pages in the yearbook including the famous picture of Clinton shaking hands with President John F. Kennedy.

The book is accompanied by the “Old Gold Book 1962” and “Old Gold Book 1963” – Clinton’s sophomore and junior years. There are also a variety of newspaper clippings both from Clinton’s high school days as well as pertaining to the 1994 30th Anniversary reunion as well some “Honor Certificate” papers awarded to McDougal.
