37th President.  Typed letter signed (TLS) “RN” one page, 7.25×10.5, personal stationery sent from New York City, September 29, 1983, to “The Honorable Robert Nesen”, handwritten salutation “Dear Bob,”, in full:

Would you please deliver the enclosed letter to Prime Minister Hawke if it is convenient to do so?  The copy is for your files.

Pencil notation of “Done 10/11” on pencil.  Accompanied by mentioned copy of the letter from Nixon to Prime Minister Robert Hawke talking about Australia’s victory in the America’s Cup race.

Robert Dean Nesen (January 22, 1918 – November 14, 2005) was an American car dealer who served as United States Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Financial Management and Comptroller) from 1972 to 1974 and as United States Ambassador to Australia from 1981 to 1985.
