NY Islanders All-Star center, member of the 2014 Canada Olympic hockey team.
Awesome road white New York Islanders jersey worn by JOHN TAVARES during the 2016-2017 NHL season. The Reebok jersey is size 56 and features the Islanders logo across the front, with the number “91” on both sleeves. The Captain “C” appears on the left chest. There is a special patch honoring the 100th Anniversary of the NHL on the right arm. The name TAVARES and “91” on back. The jersey shows great game use with a prominent stick / puck mark to the right of the chest, a slash mark across the crest and two repairs over the numbers on the left sleeve. The back of the jersey shows many loose threads and a few marks as well. The jersey was worn during the second set of jerseys used for the season.
The jersey has a numbered “New York Islanders Gameworn Jersey Program” patch as well as a matching Letter of Authenticity from the Islanders.
The jersey was worn for 13 road games from January 6, 2017 through February 25, 2017. JT scored 8 goals and had 3 assists in those games. He recorded his 500th career point as well as netting a HAT TRICK on January 13, 2017, while wearing this jersey (it was his 6th career hat trick). The jersey photomatches from the game on the 13th (when the mark on the chest was apparently made) through the last game of the set on February 25.
