Description
Incredible story hand-written by Howard Johnson explaining his thoughts and insights on greeting Ray Knight at homeplate during the 1986 World Series. The photograph measures 16×20 and is a Steiner Sports exclusive item. There is a Steiner Sports hologram and is accompanied by a Steiner Sports Certificate of Authenticity.
The photo reads:
Usually the Red Sox would take Bill Buckner out of a game they were winning late innings for defense. So it was different that Buckner was even in there. Then the slow roller and a tricky hop and I saw the ball go through Bill Buckner’s legs and realized that we were going to win Game 6 and that Game 7 was a formality. Looking back it was probably the most dramatic game I’d even been involved in.
Let’s go Mets.
