33rd President.  Hardcover book “The Story of the Constitution” by Sol Bloom.  1937 publication of the United States Constitution Sesquicentennial Commission with history, analysis, illustrations and brief bios of Signers and Supreme Court Justices with pictorial endpapers and color front cover by Howard Chandler Christy. The book measures 6 1/8″ x 9 1/4″ with 192 pages.

This copy is signed and inscribed on the FFEP:

To Fred Truman / with the admonition read it / carefully.  He may be a senator some / day & he’ll need to know it / from uncle / Harry Truman

Truman was still early in his Washington political career when this book was published.  Fantastic association and advice!

The book itself is in poor overall condition with the front and back covers loose.  The signed page is toned but the writing is dark and bold.
