34th President. First edition hardcover book At Ease: Stories I Tell My Friends, signed and inscribed in black felt tip on a a special bookplate affixed to the half-title page: “For: Lt. Louise Furman / with affectionate regard / Dwight D. Eisenhower”. Bookplate with printed “At Ease / Published June 16, 1967 / Gettysburg, Pennsylvania” above Ike’s handwritten inscription and signature.
The book is inscribed to Louise Furman, an Air Force nurse who cared for Eisenhower at his winter home in Indian Wells, California in 1967-1968.
