The Angels honored Big Papi before the game with an emotional ceremony led by Mike Trout and Albert Pujols. The three-time World Series champ finished his final campaign with 38 home runs, a .315 batting average, and American League best marks of 48 doubles and 127 RBI. In 2017, the Red Sox retired Big Papi’s number “34” in a moving pregame ceremony.
