Official NHL Game Puck game used on April 22, 2016 in the New York Islanders vs. Florida Panthers game. This was Game 5 of the their first round NHL Playoffs series. This puck is the actual GOAL PUCK scored by ALAN QUINE in the SECOND OVERTIME period. The goal was assisted by MAREK ZIDLICKY (last career NHL point) and THOMAS HICKEY (only career playoff multi-point goal). This was the fist playoff goal of Quine’s career. The puck features the Panthers logo on one side and the NHL playoffs logo on the opposite side. The puck has a Fanatics numbered hologram.
The Islanders won the game 2-1 in 2OT.
This is the first career playoff goal for Quine.
Primary assist was Marek Zidlicky – his last NHL point.
Secondary assist was Thomas Hickey – his only career playoff multi-point game.
John Tavares would score in the second OT in Game 6 to send the Isles to the second round for the first time in 23 years. The Islanders did not collect that puck. This Quine puck represents one of the biggest goals for the Islanders franchise in 2 decades – and among those big goals, this might be the best puck that is authenticated.
