** ONE OF THE EARLIEST CLINTON SIGNATURES AVAILABLE **
Hardcover yearbook entitled “Old Gold Book 1962” being the yearbook for Hot Springs (Arkansas) High School. The book originally belonged to a classmate named Gary Matula, who was a bandmate of the young Bill Clinton. As expected, the book is signed by a large number of his classmates, including Matula’s friend Bill Clinton. The future President, who was just 16-years-old and a Sophomore at the time, penned a lengthy inscription on the back of the last page:
In the few years that I have known you I have come to realize what a fine person you are. I think more and more people are doing it every day & thanks so much for everything you’ve done for me – I wish you good luck, hard work and your well-earned rewards at the U of A.
Clinton is pictured numerous times within the yearbook. An unbelievable snapshot from the early days of a young boy in Arkansas who would later serve two terms as President of the United States.
In excellent condition, expected wear from handling at the time of signing, else fine.
