28th President.  Handsome matte-finish 7 x 10.5 portrait of Wilson at his desk by Harris & Ewing, crisply signed and inscribed in the lower border in fountain pen, “To Philip La Follette, with the best wishes of, Woodrow Wilson” AS PRESIDENT.  Blindstamped in the lower edge of the image by Harris & Ewing. Double-matted and framed to an overall size of 16 x 20.  Handwritten note, most likely by Robert La Follete, on verso notes it was signed by the President on January 20, 1914.

In fine condition.  Can be sent unframed if desired.

Philip Fox La Follette (May 8, 1897 – August 18, 1965) was an American politician from the state of Wisconsin. He served three terms as the Governor of Wisconsin and helped create the Wisconsin Progressive Party.  He was the son of Robert La Follette, Congressman, Governor and Senator from Wisconsin as well as candidate for President in 1924.  This photo was signed for Philip as a young autograph collector.
