Autograph letter signed “Ronald Reagan”, personal “Ronald Reagan” heavystock notecard, Jan. 28 [no year] to Jackie Nink Pflug, who was aboard EgyptAir Flight 648 when it was hijacked, in full:
Thanks for your greeting and your letter. It was good to hear from you and to learn what you are doing.
It would be good to see you if your travels bring you this way. I have an office at ‘2121 Ave. of the Stars’ Los Angeles Calif. 90067.
Let me know if ever you are coming this way because I’m doing a little traveling myself.
All the very best to you.
With original envelope, hand addressed by Reagan to Pflug in Plymouth, Minnesota.
Pflug was shot in the head by the chief hijacker and left for dead on the tarmac. Her survival was miraculous. When she came back to the US to work on her recovery, she sent angry letters to President Reagan when her insurance didn’t cover all her medical needs. She eventually met with Reagan at the White House and he arranged to help her with her medical expenses.
A truly special association item, offered here for the first time.
