33rd President. Typed letter signed “Harry S. Truman”, November 10, 1965, 7.5×10.5, personal Independence, Missouri stationery, to Ilus W. Davis, Mayor of Kansas City, Missouri, in full:
In replay to your letter of November 8, in which you asked me to appear before the high school group on the morning of November 18, I will do my best to be there.
I am expecting a delegation from abroad here at the library on that same day and that may complicate matters.
But the group, to which you refer, represents an area of great interest for me and I like to meet with as many of them as I can.
Accompanied by original mailing envelope.
Nice post-Presidential Truman letter mentioning his library as well as his affection for students.
