For the half-century since Hiram Atkins launched the ARGUS on its long career it has recorded for its reads the day to day history of momentous events at home and abroad.  Great changes have occurred throughout the world during its lifetime and the fact that it has survived these changes is a tribute to its distinguished founder and his successors.

May the ARGUS continue to live and prosper for many more years.
