N.H. to D.C.

You were right!

Monday proved to be just what you’s said it would be.

Many many thanks for working it all out.  Thanks for the honor too.  I’ll treasure the gold.  Warm regards, (with love to Joanne)

Accompanied by original Air Force Two mailing envelope with postmark from Des Moines, Iowa, November 19, 1987.

November 17, 1987 found VP Bush in New Hampshire – the first primary state – for his first full day of campaigning after announcing his candidacy for President. Interesting to note that the mailing envelope has a Des Moines, Iowa postmark – another key early state for Bush.

Bagnell was an old friend of Bush.  He was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame after a stellar career at the University of Pennsylvania.  He was a successful businessman who was appointed to the American Battle Monuments Commission by Presidents Reagan and Bush.
