Product Description

Fantastic Washington Capitals jersey worn by ALEX OVECHKIN during the 2019-2020 NHL season, specifically during the “bubble” playoffs held at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.  The Adidas size 60 jersey features the Capitals logo on front, with “OVECHKIN” and “8” on back.  Captain “C” on left chest.  There is a Meigray Group Authentication tag inside the lower hem and the jersey is accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from Meigray as well as a photomatch LOA from Meigray.

Nice wear including two team repairs on the left sleeve, one repair on the right sleeve and very noticeable stick / puck marks on the lower front, which photomatch to NHL game use.

The jersey has been customized with two additional fight straps added to the interior of the jersey.

The jersey was worn for four games when the NHL resumed operations after its Covid-19 break.  Ovechkin wore the jersey for the following games:

August 3, 2020 – 3-2 Round Robin loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning

August 6, 2020 – 3-1 Round Robin loss to the Philadelphia Flyers

August 16, 2020 – Round 1 loss to the New York Islanders – 1 assist

August 20, 2020 – 3-2 Round 1 victory over the New York Islanders – 2 goals

The two goals on August 20, 2020 represented Ovechkin’s career playoff goals 68 and 69.  These goals moved Ovechkin into 18th place on the all-time career playoff goal list, passing both Gordie Howe and Sidney Crosby.
