David Ben Gurion Signature as Prime Minister of Israel
1st Prime Minister of Israel. Signature "D. Ben-Gurion" on 3.5x4.5 card with typed "With the compliments of the Prime Minister", accompanied by original mailing envelope postmared "10.2.64" in Tel Aviv and addressed to Hannah Logasa in Omaha, Nebraska Hannah Logasa (1879-1967) is considered the pioneer of school libraries. Logasa is credited with identifying the necessity of libraries in school and worked to achieve strong interaction between the library, students, and teachers at the University of Chicago Laboratory High School. During the late 1940s and early 1950s Logasa became interested in the fledgling nation of Israel.
