Impressive hardcover book Mr. President by William Hillman, 1952, as stated on dust jacket "In this historic volume the President of the United States, while in office, makes public much of his personal diaries, letters and notes." boldy signed, inscribed and dated underneath a great color image of Truman at his desk:  "To William F. Shields, with kindest regards and appreciation of his efficient service.  Harry Truman White House May 16, 1952."  The book is also signed and inscribed by First Lady Bess Truman beneath a color image of her:  "With best wishes to Mr. & Mrs. Wm F. Shields from Bess W. Truman".  Later in the book, First Daughter Margaret Truman has signed a full-page color image.  Lastly, the first free end page is signed, inscribed and dated by the author:  "For Bill Shields with the best wishes and regards of Bill Hillman Washington D.C. April 21, 1952".  A truly impressive copy of one of the finer books on Truman.

Book is in very good condition, some age wear, in good dustjacket which shows signs of wear yet remains presentable
