Jesse Owens Signed Oversized Print - 1936 Olympics

The first American to win four track and field medals in one Olympics. The performance in Berlin in 1936 made him both an Olympic hero and a lasting symbol of black pride. His father was a sharecropper and his grandfather a slave.

Color 17x21 print of Owens saluting from the gold medal podium in the 1936 Olympics as German athletes and officials salute with straight arms, signed and inscribed in black ink, “To Roy - My best wishes to a man that is friend of all mankind - Jesse Owens 3-17-76.” Double matted and framed to an overall size of 26x31

In fine condition, with slight contrast to signature and inscription due to background and irregular adhesion, accompanied by certification from PSA/DNA
